Target: Tracking and Leveraging a Trend
I was asked to research into any trends that Target could capitalize on to generate more sales and media engagement. I utilized Google Trends and Target’s website to obtain my insights and then put together a recommendation on how Target could successfully translate these insights into media actions. Completed for a digital media class.
Research breakdown
Target family outfits was rising at +250% on Google Trends. I then conducted a search into Target’s website, noting that they just released an entire line of family outfits in a partnership with Oshkosh. This prompted a broader search into family outfit trends.
Google Trends revealed the top four queries for Target family outfits were all in relation to matching outfits.
